I played my first league match/game/round/whatever on Wednesday. We were rained out last week but the weather gods granted us a beautiful day this week. Sadly my game was kinda ugly. For some reason I kept getting under the ball too much and hitting popups. The only good thing was that I was hitting pretty straight. In the end my scores ranged from bogey to quadruple bogey (ick!). I hope to get to the range before my next round.

I was also impressed by the special treatment we got at the course. Other people were told to let us play through because we were with a league. We did get stuck behind 3 frat boys who had no idea what they were doing. And all in all, I think we caught up to the men in front of us 3 times (in a 9 hole league). So who’s the slow ones now?

Next time I play I need to remember to wear pants. The course is in a bit of a swampy area and despite wearing bug spray, I was covered in bites.
